Umm AlQuwain Campas is here for you.
SAIS addresses the needs of students through the implementation of a comprehensive learning support program that targets literacy and numeracy. Students who are identified as at-risk, and those deemed to require special attention, have their progress monitored and receive increasingly intense-multi-tiered interventions. Learning support teachers are specialists in the well-being of children on a social, emotional, and academic level, and they provide
high-quality instruction and interventions, which are tailored to reflect students’ individual interests, styles, and needs.
Extracurricular activities at SAIS aim to foster a social and athletic atmosphere in the school, which in turn contributes to developing students’ personalities, confidence, leadership, and a sense of school belonging.
Extra-Curricular Sports Programs
The PE department arranges several extra-curricular sports programs throughout the year for students. These programs take place at the end of the school day. Programs offered include Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, and Gymnastics.
After School Clubs
SAIS -UAQ encourages students to take part in extracurricular activities that are designed to broaden their understanding of arts, languages and cultures. We offer our students the chance to choose from various clubs each term, such as Chess Club, Photography Club, Speech Club, Robotics Club, and
Quran Club.
Students Publications
“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
Anthony J. D’Angelo
Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society.
At Sharjah American International School, we foster a productive learning environment that accommodates students’ unique needs and empower them to thrive for excellence. This can only be possible in a holistic, student-centered environment, where teachers as facilitators of learning differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles, identify and nurture individual talents, skills, and abilities of students, and encourage them to achieve their full potential. Teachers provide students with a platform to think critically, express, and exhibit their knowledge and skills, and positively contribute to the community.
At SAIS, we strongly believe in the importance of teachers, parents, and administrators collaborating and communicating openly and frequently to improve students’ performance and well-being. The consistent support of the parents has empowered us to do more and more. I pay my gratitude to them for their trust in us.
I am confident that all SAIS students are well equipped with the necessary skills to face the challenges of the future with confidence and anticipate making a difference in tomorrow’s society.
